Unfortunatly, Sacul was unable to keep his word, and scammed Jin Roh. poor guy :(
Information leeked out to this possible scam earlier when sacul mentioned over teamspeak how much real life cash value the new titan was worth.
Concluding to this, Sacul has mentioned he resold the Titan for a mere 65billion ISK to a fellow eve player!!!1
I have heard people use the excuse that they are role playing to hide their black hearts. And, I have heard some say there is no code of honor just winning and losing. I have also heard people say that the reason they do dispicable things is because it's a game and they are having fun.
I suppose I'm far too old school and maybe just too old to others, but I must say that I support "standards" or "boundaries" for behaviour in life and ingame. IRL most people are held accountable for their actions.
In EvE there seems little accountability. Do unto others and don't get caught seems to be the rule of some. And, if you are found out, it is easy to wash your bloody hands and pretend you are a good person (real role playing ) and use your ill gotten proceeds of treachery. Accountability would be a good thing.
CCP apparently does not wish to enable pilots to track offending accounts. It is possible for CCP to provide tracking of those on the dark side so that the only choice for the predator is to quit the game forever.
That will never happen IMHO for many reasons.
CCP could provide protection for large corporate assets. It would be very easy to permit a CEO to "brand" an asset worth 1 billion or more as a corporate asset. Mechanics could exist to assist executors and CEO's to control assets. IRL there are various types of ownership rights. The right to the fruit, the right to sell/alienate and the right to use. These three should be controlled by players on big ticket items.
Naturally, any effort to do this would take time and real money.
I don't think we need to make everyone honorable, faithful and trustworthy. However, we do need accountability and control of assets.
Sorry for this wall of text.
Eve requires a shared use of group assets. CCP needs to give the groups tools to protect assets while enabling game play (shared use).
My personal feelings about thieves is irrelevant. Our fun is not enhanced by any of us being victimized ever.
If anyone agrees and can discern a way to influence CCP to provide the tools we need, please do all you can.
If you feel that nothing should change, disregard my words. Although I do not know the truth or falsity of the original post, I trust it is true enough to discuss.
